THAI ETHNIC GROUP

The Thai ethnic minority group have a population of more than 1 million inhabitants living in the provinces of Lai Chau, Son La, Hoa Binh and Nghe An. The Thai have other names such as Tay, Tay Dam, Tay Khao, Tay Muoi, Tay Thanh, Hang Tong and Pu Thay. The Thai language belongs to the Tay-Thai Group.

VIET- MUONG ETHNIC GROUPS

The Vietnamese community has 54 different ethnic groups. Of which the Kinh (Viet) accounts for nearly 90% of the total population, more than 10% is the population of 53 ethnic groups.

AO DAI

The beauty of women dressed in ao dai always leaves a deep impression on foreign visitors to Vietnam. Girl students dressed in white long robes take to streets on the way to schools or back home, or gracefully sail on their bikes along streets. Female secretaries in delicate pastels greet you at an office door and older ladies in deep shades of purple, green or blue cut a striking pose at a restaurant dinner. The ao dai appears to flatter every figure.

MON- KHMER ETHNIC GROUP

They are the ethnic group that has the largest population among all the Mon- Khmer speaking ethnic groups. The Khmer speak a language belonging to the Mon-Khmer language group.
