This 17 days tour start from Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, pass the Centre with blend of french colonial style buiding and Vietnamese long preversed life-style in Hue and Hoi An ancient town, then travel to  the biggest economic city and Mekong Delta in the South. An extention to Laos for a visit of Luang Prabang is also a highlight of this tour,

Day 01: Hanoi Arrival 

Upon arrival in Hanoi our tourguide will welcome you at the exit then transfer to hotel. After checking in the hotel, you will be free and overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

Day 02: Hanoi - Laocai (B)

A full day city tour of Vietnam’s capital, a unique city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples. The city tour includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the Quanh Thanh Temple and the Tran Quoc Pagoda on the edge of West Lake. After lunch time, tour will continue to the Museum of Ethnology and end the afternoon with a visit to the Lake of the Restored Sword and a cyclo tour of the Old Quarter. In the evening enjoy Puppet Water Show, an unique art show in Vietnam and catch the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train.

Day 03: Laocai - Sapa  (B)

Take a morning walking tour of Sapa for a visit to the busy market where Red Dao, Black H’mong and other ethnic minority people converge from the surrounding countryside to sell their embroidery, silverware and handicrafts, and to buy provisions. In the afternoon visit the Cat Cat hill tribe village. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 04: Sapa - Laocai - Hanoi (B)

In the morning having breakfast at the hotel then you will have 4 hours trek through the Sapa Valley alongside of natural stream for the Black Hmong minority of Lao Chai Village and Giay minority of Ta Van. In the afternoon driving to the Red Dao village of Ta Phin, where over 200 Dao minorities living together in evergreen valley for understanding their life culture and history. In the evening catch the night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 05: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Breakfast at your hotel. Leave Hanoi for Halong Bay. En noute, stop to visit But Thap Pagoda. Upon arriving in Halong City, shortly we are transferred to our deluxe Vietnamese styled-junk by speedy tender. After having welcome cocktail and checking procedure, a sea food lunch is served to you while cruising in heritage site. Visit the most beautiful cave in Halong named Sung Sot or Amazing cave. Follow by Titop Island, named by President Hochiminh to remember the historical visit by Russian astronaut German Titop, for aerial view of the site by steeping up to the top of the island and swimming opportunity on Titop beach. In the evening you will enjoy seafood dinner and stay overnight on junk

Day 06: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi - Danang - Hue (B)

We start a great day with refreshing swim and a good breakfast while the sun is rising from the Bay. This morning, take an sampan to explore other beauty region of the bay and floating village. With a visit to Luon cave you are clearly explained why Halong Bay becomes a nomination for new seven natural wonder. Cruise to the other part of Halong Bay. Check out your carbin before returning to the main harbor and driving straight back to Hanoi and catch a domestic flight to Hue. Overnight in Hue

Day 07: Hue  (B)

This morning, after breakfast at your hotel, you will visit the former imperial capital of Vietnam. A boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hue’s best-known religious site, Thien Mu Pagoda or Heavenly Lady Pagoda, and the mausoleum of former emperor Minh Mang, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. In the afternoon visit the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Overnight at hotel in Hue


Day 08: Hue - Hoian (B)

Breakfast, leaving Hue for Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the years The scenic route passes through the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds. During the journey you will stop at Cham Museum, the last collection of  Kingdom of Champa. In the afternoon take a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants’ homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the a typical ancient house, colourful market. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 09: Hoian - Myson - Hoian (B)

Breakfast at your hotel. A half day trip to visit the capital and religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom, My Son. Here, 40km southwest of Hoi An, in a lush green valley, are dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the seventh and thirteenth centuries. Visit Cham museum and the holy site then head back to Hoi An. Afternoon is free at leisure. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10:  Hoian - Danang - Hochiminh City (B)

Breakfast ay your hotel; take a short flight to dynamic Ho Chi Minh City. A full day city tour takes in the city’s bustling Chinatown and begins with a visit to the Thien Hau Temple, take a cyclo ride, the most appropriate and unusual way to explore Cho lon or Big Market. The ride will take you to the lively Binh Tay Market. Then visit a lacquerware factory to witness workers continuing a Vietnamese ancestral tradition. Afternoon, visit the War Museum and the former Presidential Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street, Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Halll... Over night in HochiMinh

Day 11: Hochiminh City - Caibe - Vinhlong - Cantho (B)

Depart for Cai Be, deep in the Mekong Delta, and embark on traditional style boat for Mekong Delta Cruise. The tour begins with a visit of the colourful Cai Be floating market, followed by a visit to some local home factories that produce rice paste, rice popcorn and coconut candy. Proceed to evergreen islands among the Mekong River through a large network of meandering tributaries, crisscrossed with countless arroyos. Afternoon, cruise to Vinh Long to discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong Delta rural life. Drive to Can Tho and transfer to hotel on arrival. Overnight at hotel in Can Tho.

Day 12: Cantho - Hochiminh City (B)

Cruise to the colourful Cai Rang floating market while having a buffet breakfast on the traditional Mekong-style Mystic Sampan. Then it is back to dry land, stop to Ninh Kieu Wharf for beautiful landscape and take nice pictures. Leave Can Tho for Ho Chi Minh City. Over night in Hochiminh City

Day 13: Depart Hochiminh City – Luang Prabang (B)

At leisure until transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. Today is free at your leisure to explore the city. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 14:  Luang Prabang – City Tour (B)

After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. Today, we also visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset and the Mekong River. From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 15:  Luang Prabang – Pak Ou cave (B)

Today, we embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.  Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, we disembark the boat to visit traditional villages, and continue taking a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 16: Luang Prabang – Kuangsi Water fall (B)

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the ritual. From there you will visit the morning Phousi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, a Hmong village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, all Khmu villages.  This then takes us to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. After returning to Luang Prabang by late afternoon, we continue to Ban Xangkhong, a village well known for its silk weavings and for its Saa (jute) Papermaking. We return to the city by late evening to admire the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 17: Luang Prabang – Departure (B)

Today we visit the National Museum (closed Tuesdays) at the former Royal Palace.  It displays a collection of artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign. There will also be time for us to look around the Central Market. After visiting these sights in the morning, there may be free time (depending on your flight) to venture into town and stroll around the shopping area. The tour ends after your transfer to the airport for departure (B)
