HAI PHONG CITY

Unlike its two neighboring sites of Halong and Cat Ba, Hai Phong attracts less tourists unless, of course, they arrive in Northern Vietnam by sea. Nonetheless, this seaport city has many charming architectural buildings which were evidently influenced by the early 20th century French colonial style. The old French regime invested a lot of money to build this seaport attraction.

FANSIPAN MOUNT

9 km southwest of Sa Pa is Fansipan Mountain, a part of the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range. At the height of 3143m, Fansipan is known as Vietnam's highest mountain and called The roof of Indochina.

DUONG LAM VILLAGE

Duong Lam Village is in Ha Tay Town and about 60 km west of Hanoi. This village has been known as a museum of laterite with ancient houses aged up to 400 years old. It is also the only place in Vietnam where two kings came from. After the recognition of Hoi An ancient town and Hanoi old quarter, Duong Lam was recognized as a national relic in 2005.

DONG HOI

Dong Hoi is the capital of Quang Binh Province, approximately half way between Vinh and Hue. Usually, visitors spend the night here only if they wish to visit Phong Nha Caves , a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000.

Dien Bien Phu is the capital of Dien Bien District, Lai Chau Province in one of the most remote part of Vietnam. The town is 34km from the Lao Border in the flat, heart -shaped Muong Thanh Valley surrounded by steep and heavily forested hills.
